My Bio

I am real estate broker doing business in Pomona. When I came to Pomona, not long ago I got in shocked to see the tremendous needs of this city. After an intensive city government study, I knew that the only way to improve the city is by running for a city position. Even though I have never participated in any public position, I can't ignore the political change need this city demands. I am confident that I can provide a different perspective, a way that works for this city.

My Key Issues

Homelessness

Pomona need efficient mental, substance use, and general medical attention services for the people who are on the streets suffering the struggles of the social and economic crisis. Pomona can create its own clinics, free of charge for the very poor, and cost effective for the low and moderated residents who can't obtain any other medical option. Working with the county, the state, and the federal governments, we can make that possible.

Deteriorated Streets and Alleys

Creating our own city construction company, buying the materials from Pomona, and contracting people from Pomona (preferably) is how we can restore our city streets and alleys at a low cost. The city currently spent 15 million dollars on restoring 1 mile of Garey Ave. With 15 million we could restore most of our district 3 streets by doing it ourselves. The project doesn't only give the intended results efficiently and a low cost, but would produce a lot of local jobs. It would help the city businesses by trying to buy as much construction material possible from the city businesses, and it would collect a lot of more sales' tax as well. it is a win win situation.

Housing Crisis

Pomona city owns 30% of the land as a whole. We can build our own city owned homes on our own city owned land, to provide the low income housing shortage. The city isn't to make profit with the citizens. The city is to use its resources on the benefit of its own residents. People who can afford to buy a larger and expensive house, they can, but the city is obligated to serve and protect the people who can't afford a roof on their head. It benefits everybody when the city is efficient. We can solve the housing problem by building our own homes on our own land.

Crime

The Pomona Police Department absorbers 50% of the city budget equivalent to 80 plus million dollars yearly. The residents don't feel the efficiency of the department. We need to restructure the department to hold them accountable for the cost and the results that the people deserve to receive in exchange of the cost.

Government Spent Austerity

To improve the condition of the city and the welfare of the people, we need to start by improving the city spending and efficiency. The city top directors salaries do not reflect the service results received. We need to reduce the top directors salaries at the level of the service received. We can get our best city employees in charge of the departments that provide poor results. While we value the work the city employees provide, we need to make intensive government institutions analysis to leverage the best human resources and restore the public service spirit that should drive every city department.

Public Parking

I have spot at least two District 3 areas that need more public parking, desperately. Both areas have large lots right next to the condensed apartment complex neighborhoods. We can work/negotiate those lots to create public parking for the residents of those areas. The benefits are multiple for example, no street car parking vs parking congestion. Safe, clean, and secured parking for the residents vs parking far from home risking the peoples' and their property safety. Clean, wide, pretty streets vs clustered streets.

Street signs and Lighting.

District 3 has a lot of streets that need better signs, lighting, and line painting for safety reasons. Pomona public works and engineering need to be more efficient on the service they are to provide. Some residents spend years demanding better street paving, lines, signs and lighting, but the service never gets done.
